The dangers of the outside world forced him to use his mind horizontally. Group and tribe activities became more important to achieve security for him and his family at the same time creating a personal and collective ego.
The use of energy in the form of fire, weapons made it possible to have more time for creative activities like, pottery, art etc., resulting in a change in the way humans used their mind. They start to use their mind also vertically. There was time for meditation and religion was born. From that moment they became aware of the Conscious- and Subconscious Mind, most by those what we used to call the Medicine man, Guru's and Priests.
More and more time became available for creativity, reaching its highest level during the medieval times. Today we can enjoy the art and music of that period. Art and music still remain to be the inspiration of our modern creativity.
